Our second Sydney Living with Lynch Syndrome conference was held at Macquarie University and was a great success on the 27th of June. We could not be more appreciative to our speakers; Dr Archana Rao, Dr Hilda High, Dr Cameron Bell, Liz Hing who did an incredible job of providing invaluable insight to all attendees. We also heard from Dr Natalie Taylor and Dr Tamarind Hamwood about some exciting research currently underway addressing important aspects of Lynch syndrome and are so grateful they were able to join us and instill even more hope for us all.
We are also thankful to have been joined on the day by the wonderful workers and volunteers at Look Good, Feel Better and the Cancer Council NSW who not only inspired healthy living but enlightened us with the amazing work these charities do for cancer patients. A big thank you also to those from the events team at Macquarie University who helped to promote the conference and make the day a success.
At this event, Dr Kathy Tucker, Geneticist at the Prince of Wales and St George Hereditary Cancer Clinic was announced as the recipient of the Appreciation Award in recognition of valuable contributions to Lynch Syndrome Australia.
